LSM Class of 2019 Participates in

Health and Human Services Day

LSM Health and Human Services Day

On March 7, the LSM Executive Program Class of 2019 participated in a Health and Human Services Day session. During the session, the class learned about the importance of nonprofits in human services work; how childhood experiences, poverty, mental health, and homelessness are intertwined; and what the issues and impacts are surrounding the housing market in Southern Maryland.

Special thank you to the Health and Human Services Day program advocates: Chris Longmore LSM’09, Attorney and Partner, Dugan, McKissick & Longmore; Cathy Meyers LMD'98 LCPC, Executive Director of the Center for Children and LSM Founding Sponsor; and Christina Payne LSM’15, SHRM-CP, PHR, Vice President of Human Resources and Corporate Relations for Precise Systems.

Calling all LSM Alumni - It's Time to Get Connected!

Graduating from LSM is only the beginning. As an LSM graduate, there are several ways you can stay connected with your new LSM family and be an active part of the LSM leadership network.

The best way to plug in and stay connected to LSM is to join the LSM Alumni Association (LSMAA). With one-year, five-year, and lifetime membership options, you can take advantage of LSMAA membership benefits such as: free admission to networking events, reduced admission to special events, opportunities to submit news to more than 300 local leaders through the monthly e-newsletter, and access to a private, online alumni web portal on the LSM website.

In addition to joining LSMAA, you can stay connected to LSM and share your LSM pride by:

  • Mentioning LSM and your class year when you are interviewed
  • Creating an email signature block with the LSM logo and your class year (The Communications & Outreach Committee is working to develop an email signature template -- stay tuned!)
  • Adding LSM to your LinkedIn profile

These are just a few ideas for continuing to be an active part of LSM after graduation day.
