IN FLU SEASON, CLASS OF 2018 STAYS HEALTHY & SAFE

Healthcare Session

January 18 was the day for LSM Class of 2018's healthcare session sponsored by The Chesapeake-Potomac Healthcare Alliance. Participants visited one of the three hospitals in the region, Walden Behavioral Health’s Anchor Treatment Center, and the Veterans Home in Charlotte Hall. The day included a panel discussion on public health issues with panelists Dr. Dianna Abney LSM’15 and Dr. Meenakshi Brewster, as well as a certification course on administering naloxone, which blocks or reverses the effects of opioids. The day ended with a social gathering at Tequila Grill & Cantina in Charlotte Hall.
